When my friend asked me to contribute to this blog I was excited. Food is my life. I am a chef and foodie in every sense of the word. I have been in the business for almost thirty years now, but how would I start? I know what food means to me and my family as it is almost ritualistic. Our family dinners, bbqs, the gatherings, the garden we tend, the small mom and pop businesses we utilize all center around food. Then it struck me, that every great memory or celebration was attached to a meal or food. Food is the tie that binds us all. Every race, color, creed, religion, every person of every economic status. From right here in Hilliard, Ohio to the furthest reaches of the planet, from the cradle to the grave, all of our lives center around food. Not just for nutrition's sake, but at a deeper primal center within us.
I look forward to sharing my ideas, thoughts, and photographs with you all, and until next time.......
ps...I will apologize now for any forthcoming spelling and or grammatical errors

The Best Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes
These blueberry pancakes are my favorite of all time. Topped with lots of butter and some pure cane syrup and I'm in heaven. Enjoy them in stacks! :-)
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups AP flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg beaten
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 cup fresh blueberries
Sift dry ingredients together. Add beaten egg, buttermilk and melted butter. With a few quick stirs with a wooden spoon mix batter just until incorporated. Drop batter, about a quarter cup at a time onto medium hot griddle. Sprinkle top with blueberries and cook until small bubbles form on top of pancakes and bottom is golden. Flip pancakes and cook until done.
(Note: Over mixing of the batter makes for a tough pancake, and only flip your pancakes once!)
